Greetings and Good Monday Morning Everyone!
I hope that you've had an amazing weekend and ready to get back at it this week. Today, I wanted to discuss the importance of being "reliable". Being someone that people can rely and depend on is important. Recently, I just wanted to take a closer look at this attribute or quality that people use to describe themselves, and I feel there was a time where this went in lockstep with someone's integrity. To lack reliability is considered a character flaw, and I'm hoping after you read this week's blog that you remember to always be someone that people to count on! So, let's not waste anymore time, and let's dive into this week's message.
I believe that reliability is a significant quality to have as an individual. Those that are reliable understand that having this quality goes a lot deeper than people just counting on you. It means that they can trust what you say and do. It means that you have integrity which is also an important quality to have. There's no substitute for having integrity and being someone that people can depend on. I know that we all can recall a time when we've had to work with or be in the presence of someone that lacks reliability. I'm sure that it put a lot of pressure on you and everyone else that was involved to step into the gap of the unreliable individual. Now, is that fair? I think that I can hear a resounding, "HELL NO!" It leaves you feeling resentful and upset by the fact that the unreliable person uses the people around them, and never truly comes through for others in a time of need. Don't be that person! Never give someone your word, if you can't follow though. Never look at a situation with an opportunistic eye and agree to do something if your heart is not in it, especially, if you're a part of a team or group, and end up leaving them hanging on a regular basis. Your inconsistency makes them have to step into the gap, and that's not fair to them. If you're inconsistent and unreliable that is the one thing that people will always see in you, and I can guarantee you, that this affect any opportunity that you may have an interest in the future. "Moral of the story" this week, is to be consistent and remember that being a reliable person is just as important as your honesty because, "your word is your bond!" Trust and honesty is fundamentally at the core of your reliability. So be true to it and uphold it. That's the good word this week folks and I hope that it resonates with you! Have a blessed and beautiful week!
